The Vivaldisaal is a rehearsal space for the independent new-music scene and is available free of charge to registered users.

Size: 145m² (11 x 11m plus alcove)
With: 22 music stands, 44 chairs, 2 Yamaha grand pianos (1 MIDI-capable), 1 double harpsichord, 1 home organ, 1 harmonium, 2 piano benches, sound system with mixing console, 2 microphones, a small lighting system, a humidifier and percussion instruments.

Access
Since 2018, Vivaldisaal has a locking system that can be operated via a mobile app.

Requirements for the use of Vivaldisaal

Users confirmed by the inm Board and registered with inm's office may use the rooms for rehearsals. All of the following criteria must be met:

  • Rehearsals are for professional, special ensembles working within Berlin's field of contemporary music. 
  • Rehearsals are for a project in the independent scene that will be performed in Berlin. 
  • Rehearsals are for works in the field of contemporary/current music (i.e. works composed after 1945).

 Use for the following is excluded:

  • Lessons 
  • Non-musical activities
  • Duo and solo rehearsals (exceptions must be approved by the Board)
  • Regular rehearsals
  • Events with an audience
  • Rehearsals after 22:00
