Who Can Be Funded?

Musicians, ensembles and independent groups with their primary residence in Berlin as well as all institutions with their main headquarters in Berlin are eligible to apply. One project application per applicant (natural person or legal entity) may be submitted per funding round. 

Artists who are enrolled at a university at the time of application (also with the aim of obtaining a doctorate) or who are working as professors at a university are not eligible for funding.

Requirements:

• Applicants (natural persons) must have their primary residence in Berlin.
• Applicants (legal entities) must be registered in Berlin and have their main headquarters Berlin.
• The project applied for must take place in Berlin.
• The application must be written in German.
• The majority of the project participants live and work in Berlin.
• The project has a limited timeframe, e.g. concerts or multi-part projects.
• The project has not yet been started.
